We've been working on a new RedRat device - the RedRatPico. Due to chip supply issues over the last year or two, and the fact there is less demand for our more complex products, this is a back to basics, straightforward USB IR blaster.
It's based around the fantastic Raspberry-Pi RP2040 microcontroller, a duel core ARM chip with a whole range of different I/O options.
It will be supported by all main RedRat APIs and applications for simple incorporation into existing systems.
Our first prototype device allows for an optional Digi XBee 3 Zigbee module for additional connectivity, for example transmitting IR signals via Zigbee commands.
Please get in touch if you have any questions about product availability or are interested in incorporating an RP2040 with RedRat IR firmware into your own hardware.
